Getting to know the MAP team series – Week 1.

This week, we chatted with Sarah Reece, our newest addition to the MAP team. Here’s a little bit of insight into her world;

Q. What do you do at MAP?

A. I do what I’m told when I’m told, pleb life! But seriously, I do small things here and there such as Invoicing (I’m not just here to invoice) mail sorting, data entry, filing, scanning and a few other things. But stay tuned, I’ll be allowed to do more soon and upgrade slightly from the pleb life.

Q. Why do you do what you do?

A. So I can support my chocolate addiction…. No, I do what I do because one has to start somewhere in a job. I do it because it’s learning step’s to slowly creating a future for myself, and knowing one day I’ll be able to stand on my own two feet in this crazy world.

Q. What is your fave thing about working for MAP?

A. Girl power! My fave thing about working here is that it’s the kind of environment anyone would want to work in. We all get along and there isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t have a good laugh together. It’s the kind of place where it goes from serious to jokes, back to serious all in a matter of 10 minutes, and I think that’s a good balance to have.

Q. Who or what brand  inspires you as a businesswoman?

A. “Just keep swimming’.. Ellen Degeneres has always inspired me. I think she is amazing at what she does.  She’s a comedian, TV host, actress and a producer. She is a great role model to look up to for encouragement to break out of your shell, not be afraid to show the world who you are, and never back down even if people try to throw you down.

Q. What is your favourite quote?

A. ”He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite Sandwich” .. Kidding, but that’s a golden oldie! C.S Lewis “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind”.

Q. What is the most kooki thing about MAP?

A. All of us. You could probably be sitting in the office in complete silence and come out and say something completely random, but instead of being looked at funny, the rest of the office would just laugh with you.

Q. What is your ideal holiday?

A. A trip to the Cadbury Factory! No, really, Egypt then Bora Bora. I’ve always wanted to see The Egyptian Pyramid’s. I don’t know, I guess I’ve always been so intrigued by them and the Ancient Egyptian Culture and most of all, The Mummies! Bora Bora, well, because who doesn’t want to sit by an amazingly beautiful beach relaxing drinking a cocktail.

Q. Choose a food to describe you and tell us why!

A.  A Gummy Bear because they are small and sweet
